An Amazing Day for Blackthorn

It’s been an amazing day for Blackthorn, but I’m not sure how much I deserve it this week! I’ve been mercilessly teasing my readers on my Facebook page (after doing the same to the Into the World of Blackthorn group first) when I asked them this question:

You can only wear ONE T-shirt. Which do you choose?

Kane dies, we riot.

Caleb dies, we riot.

Jask dies, we riot.

Eden dies, we riot.

I think the main problem was the statement I posted at the end:

Think carefully because there could be serious repercussions!

In the words of Colette: “Lindsay I think it’s safe to say you just might have a riot on your hands now for suggesting that kind of madness…”

Well, I think I nearly did!

Now obviously I’m not really cruel enough to make anyone choose between them. After all, their fate was marked out years ago as most of you well know… 😉

Anyway, in between me working on BLOOD INSTINCT today, things started getting busy for Blackthorn in Amazon’s charts after Bookouture ran some promo for my series.

For the first time ever, Blood Shadows not only hit #1 in both Amazon’s U.K. and U.S. Gothic Romance chart at the same time…

GRONE2

…but it also simultaneously hit #1 in both the U.K. and the U.S. Paranormal Vampire Romance chart too.

PVRONE1

Blood Shadows even reached #3 in the overall Paranormal Romance chart AND #23 in the main Romance chart (thanks for pointing that one out, Fiona)!

On top of that, Blood Shadows entered the Top 100 on Amazon.com’s main charts, reaching #66. It also broke into the Top 20 in Amazon’s Canadian main chart for the first time ever, and reached #1 in three paranormal sub genres there: Vampire Romance; Fantasy, Futuristic and Ghost Romance; as well as Werewolves and Shifter Romance (Blackthorn is nothing if not diverse). And we nearly, nearly got into the Top 200 in the U.K.

I was equally thrilled that Blackthorn as a series also entered the Top 100 on Amazon.com in three different charts: #15 in Most Popular Books in Paranormal Romance, #32 in Most Popular Books in Genre Literature and Fiction, and #82 in the Most Popular Books in Romance. 🙂

111

And it seemed we just couldn’t keep Kane down today as Blood Dark hit #1 in Top Rated Gothic Romance and #1 in Hot New Releases too!

APOLOGIES (sincerely) to anyone who has glazed over with all the numbers, but this was one of the best days Blackthorn has had. And to finish it off, Blackthorn was featured on My Guilty Obsession Book Blog‘s Facebook page after one of my lovely readers, Amanda Perrie, applied for them to put me in the author spotlight for the day – which included dedicating their banner to Blackthorn. Thanks so much, Amanda. And thank you too, My Guilty Obsession Book Blog, for hosting me. <3

I’d also like to say a massive thank you to my lovely street team who only just started this week but are already working busily in the background looking out for opportunities to give Blackthorn a shout out wherever they can. Thank you, Darklings! (If you’re a dedicated Blackthorn fan who loves being on social media, feel free to contact me if you’d like to find out more about the team.)

That’s it – no more chart talk! Thanks so much for bearing with me, and to everyone (including the wonderful team at Bookouture) who was a part of making this happen. Have a wonderful weekend! xxx

So many years of hard work are paying off, and it’s so well deserved Lindsay, long may it continue ❤

Lindsay J. Pryor

Aww, thank you so much, Fiona – and for all of your support. Hard work – oh heck, yes! But so, so much fun too. 😉 <3

Barb

Hi Lindsay,
I am so thrilled at what is happening with your books. Your teasers are mean but if it’s any help, do what you have to but leave Kane alone lol.
I am now maintaining a blog and featured the last novel in one of my posts. I can’t promise how many saw it but I am doing my best to spread the word about you in my small way. Can I link to your site? I have put a few blogs and websites on mine for readers to peruse. I am navigating my way into media as I get ready to publish my first book. If I do any good your name will be in the first post I do after publication. You inspire. You have taken the paranormal genre into a totally different sphere with the depth of emotions your characters make your readers traverse. I hope that was the right word lol. Barb
I have copied the link if you have time to read what I wrote

It certainly didn’t make me very popular putting that teaser out there, Barb. 😉 All I’ll say is #TeamKane, #TeamCaleb, #TeamJask, and #TeamEden know how to fight their corners! It was a lot of fun, that’s for sure. I have taken notes that you are clearly TeamKane. 😀 All that aside, thank you – I’m thrilled you’re thrilled. <3

Huge congrats on starting up a blog! I've read the post and I am so, so flattered you gave me a mention. My goodness, Barb - to be someone's inspiration is incredible. I'm going to head back over to leave a comment as soon as I can. Of course you can link to my site - that would be brilliant. Thanks for doing what you can to spread the word about Blackthorn. Your passion shines through your review and your post. I actually want to read all of the posts (Kay's and Alison's included). It looks like it's going to be a great blog so I've now signed up to get notifications. Thanks for sharing it with me. And good luck as you face the world of being a published author!

That really was an incredible day, Lindsay…and all due to your taking the risk of putting your world of Blackthorn out there to share with others. I’m so thankful that you did and I know the good news will keep coming as we spread the love of Blackthorn (though I’d like to keep Caleb’s love to myself…hee hee). 😉 #TeamBlackthorn always <3 xo

Lindsay J. Pryor

It was so, so exciting, Suzanne – and I promise I was working on Blood Instinct at the same time! 😉 And thank you SO much. It certainly was a risk putting Blackthorn out there, and especially starting my career with these books. I don’t regret a second of it though. How can I with such amazingly supportive readers? Oh, and I’ll let you keep Caleb to yourself as long as you don’t tell anyone else. 😉 <3TeamBlackthorn xoxo

Gasp! What an offer… *whispers* My lips are sealed (or they will be…with Caleb)…hee hee. 😉 TeamBlackthorn <3 xoxo

Delphine Noble-Fox

Congratulations Lindsay – what a fantastic day for you. It must be great to be receiving the recognition that this series totally deserves 🙂 Del xo

Lindsay J. Pryor

Thank you so much, Del. <3 It was a brilliant day - very exciting! But I did manage to keep my eye on Jask for most of it regardless. 😉 xx

Jenn

Caleb dies, I will burt this mf to the ground! 😉

So happy to see your works being appreciated more and more Lindsay. May it continue.

Lindsay J. Pryor

Ha, I think I’ve got the hint, Jenn – Caleb dies and I have more than a riot on my hands!! 😉 Funnily enough, Caleb fans on my Facebook page were giving me the same subtle impression – lol!

And thank you so much. That’s lovely of you to say so. <3
