Blackthorn’s Biggest Anniversary Giveaway!

Three years ago this week, Blackthorn was launched. Blood Shadows, my debut novel, was released by Bookouture on 27th November 2012. Since then, Blackthorn has gone on to sell in six figures, with over three thousand four and five star reviews. And it’s thanks to your reviews and your support that the final four books in the Blackthorn series were signed last year, as well as Blackthorn being discovered by Tantor Media who converted the first three books to audio.

My readers are such an important part of Blackthorn so, to mark the occasion and to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported me, I decided to launch the biggest Blackthorn giveaway to date.

If you’re a big Blackthorn fan, this is your chance to get your hands on some Blackthorn treats – some of which are limited editions, never to be repeated. The full list of items is below, with a brief description of each. They’re listed in no particular order.

HOW TO ENTER

All you have to do to enter the giveaway is tell me:

HOW YOU DISCOVERED BLACKTHORN

AND

WHAT YOU LIKE ABOUT THE SERIES.

It’s that simple! You can leave your answers:

  • in the comment section below, or
  • on my Facebook page (where I’m simultaneously running the giveaway), or
  • email me privately.

WHEN TO ENTER

The giveaway is open NOW and closes Thursday 26th November at midnight (UK time). Entries after this time will not be eligible.

HOW WINNERS WILL BE CHOSEN

Anyone is eligible to enter. All entries will be assigned an entry number. Numbers will be selected using a random generator and winners will be announced this Friday evening (27th) to mark the official anniversary.

As with all Blackthorn giveaways, it doesn’t matter where in the world you are – the prizes can be posted anywhere. One of the winners in the last giveaway was on the other side of the world in New Zealand!

BONUS ENTRY NUMBERS

You can only enter your answer ONCE, but for the first time ever in a giveaway, I’m going to give you the chance to win more than one prize as well as increase your chances of winning.

Whilst ensuring I don’t exclude anyone from entering, this is ultimately a thank you giveaway so I wanted to include something extra to show my appreciation to everyone who has gone that extra step to support me and Blackthorn. So, if any of the following apply to you, tell me in your answer and your name will be entered more than once.

Let me know if you:

  • Have liked my Facebook page, follow me on social media, or follow this blog. This is worth one bonus entry.
  • Have left a review for a Blackthorn book on Amazon, Goodreads or any other relevant review site. This is worth one bonus entry.
  • Have left reviews for all five Blackthorn books. This is worth two bonus entries.

That means any one person can have their name entered up to FOUR TIMES which not only increases their chances of winning but means they could win up to four different prizes.

So it’s clear, here are some examples:

“I discovered Blackthorn on Amazon. I really like the plot twists.” Your name will be entered once.

“I discovered Blackthorn on Amazon. I really like the plot twists. I follow your blog.” Your name will be entered twice.

“I discovered Blackthorn on Amazon. I really like the plot twists. I’ve liked your Facebook page and I’ve reviewed all five Blackthorn books.” Your name will be entered four times.

Hi. I actually discovered Blackthorn just browsing through a list on amazon and during the first book, Blood Shadows I was already in love. I enjoy this series because not only is it on a different level then the norm, it’s about love and the good and the bad and even when the book ends, the happy ever is still a work in progress. I enjoy the depths of these characters and I can’t stop myself sometimes from rereading the entire series again just for “my Blackthorn fix”. Hehe Of course I follow you on social media and I most definitely have left reviews on goodreads for all the books as well as on amazon for most. (I find it difficult to leave reviews on amazon since I use my phone most of the time). Thank you for the chance. #teamblackthorn

I discovered Blackthorn while browsing Amazon, like the look of the cover (it appealed to my dark side, hee hee!😈) I downloaded the sample, and just fell in love with Kane, then Jask came along and stole my heart, I can’t say there’s one specific thing I love about Blackthorn, I love EVERYTHING about Blackthorn! Even Feinith!😱😱😱 Thanks Lindsay, you da bomb!x

Thank you Goodreads! Thank you Amazon! Sometimes a recommendation really pays off big time!! Hook, line and sinker I was reeled in. Never going to escape from Blackthorn. I spread the word and my friends are in the same boat as I am. They are loving every minute of it. We’ve been holding our breath waiting for the next book. We need AIR! When is the next book surfacing?

Joanna

I first discovered the Blackthorn series on Amazon only a few months ago and am up to date with all the books. What isn’t there to like about the series? I love the book covers for starters and Kane an Calebs eyes, they are all gorgeous. I really like the characters and the romance between them even when they are trying to deny it. I’ve liked your facebook page and follow your blog often on your website. I have also left review on Amazon. I would really love to be in a chance to win 🙂

Amy Phelan

I found your book through Amazon top lists and have reviewed most of the books on Amazon! I absolutely love the love hate relationships!

Julia Stevens

I discovered Blackthorn earlier this year as an Amazon recommendation. The title and cover drew me in and I loved it! I love the depth and detail of the characters, the story and the world around them. It’s just one of those places I can totally visualise and I would love to visit and mingle with the people. I got sucked in and am never going to leave 🙂 (not sure if you knew, but I also love Jask a tiny weeney bit 😉 ) I follow you on FB, your blog and on the street team and I’ve left reviews for all books on Amazon and Goodreads. Those giveaways all look amazing and I would be over the moon if I am lucky enough to win any of them. Thank you Lindsay, Good luck to everyone!!

Tracey Delaney

I discovered Blackthorn when a very close friend of mine recommended them to me. At the time, only the first three novels were out. I have never looked back. I love the diversity of the Blackthorn world, the fact it has vampires in it (totally my favourite thing), and that each story is different, but they are all linked, as evidenced by Book 5.
I follow your blog and your Facebook page
I have reviewed one book on Amazon (but I really do need to go an review them all!)

Tracey Rogers

I discovered Blackthorn when Kane was still ink inside a pen during the New Voices competition. And what a voice Lindsay had! She is, and probably always will be, the only author to give me a fear of hoods. Seriously – be afraid, be very afraid! The world building was superb and got me totally hooked on the series.
Read them, reviewed them and absolutely guilty of being a stalker! 🙂 xxx

I discovered the series because social media really wanted me too! it popped up on both my Twitter and Facebook feeds so many times I decided to give it a try. Amazon also recommended it because of my reading tastes. I am so happy I did!! What isn’t there to love about the series? I have a weakness for British things first of all, but it is the characters that keep me hooked. I enjoy the setting, the unique take on vampires and werewolves, and the rather dystopian air. I like that it’s at once a bit of a crime series, a paranormal romance, and a straight up urban fantasy. The world is so well developed that I am rather hooked and cannot wait for book 6!

I follow both the Twitter and Facebook pages. I have left a few reviews on amazon as well.

Jennifer D

I discovered Lindsay and the Blackthorn Series browsing Amazon. I have read all.of these books up to date. I follow on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Amazon and newsletter. I have left reviews on both Amazon and Goodreads.

What I love about Blackthorn are all the different character’s and how each couple is very unique to themselves. And just the whole concept of Blackthorn is crazy awesome to have made these areas or hierarchy. It is genius!!!

Of course my favorite of them all is Jask and Sophia but I like Caitlin and Kane too….but I’m a hard core Jask girl. Anyways Happy Book Anniversary!!!! Thanks for the chance Lindsay you are awesome!!!!

Melanie Malcoon

I was checking my FB news feed one night and I saw your Blood Shadows cover and I was intrigued. So, I brought it up on Amazon and read the synopsis and that was the beginning of a long relationship with yours books. I have to say the cover did catch my eye, and the characters were so unpredictable. I like strong women in my books, but also loyal and take a stand for there beliefs. So girl, just keep those books coming and I’ll keep reading them. Wouldn’t mind winning a little something either!

Ange Joyce

I am completely rubbish and cannot for the life of me remember where I found Blackthorn (must have been Amazon!) But I am so glad I did!!!
I love every tiny detail of this series; from the glint in Calebs gorgeously coloured eyes, to the world’s within world’s and even other dimensions. There are so many twists and turns and so many intriguing characters; it’s hard not to love Blackthorn.

I follow on Facebook, Twitter and have shouted at all my friends to read this series! I am also trying to type this at 2.30am so that I don’t miss this competition because I am desperate to complete my signed collection!!! Lol

Delphine Noble-Fox

I discovered Blackthorn earlier this year via Amazon. I love the depth and detail of the characters, the story and the dark world around them. It’s one of those places I can totally visualise and immerse myself in. I follow you on FB, your blog and on the street team and I’ve left reviews for all books on Amazon and Goodreads. Those giveaways all look fantastic and I would be over the moon if I am lucky enough to win any of them. Thank you Lindsay, Good luck to everyone!!

Sarah "The Queen of Gifs"

I discovered Blackthorn on Amazon back in April. If I remember correctly, I was going through some major book withdrawal. A book I had been anticipating for forever had just come out a few months earlier and had been a major let down that was made even more disappointing by the fact that I had been waiting months for it to release. I always loved vampire urban fantasy, and so when I saw Blood Shadows, I gave the sample a try and was hooked; and, the rest is history.

I love Blackthorn because, the series as a whole, doesn’t pull any of its punches.

I have liked your facebook page as you well know 😛 and have been subscribed to this blog for a while.

I have also reviewed Blood Dark on Amazon and Goodreads.

Helen

I first discovered the Blackthorn series books when A friend recommended them, I was bored of the books I had been reading. Well, I couldn’t put them down and fingers are itching to get a hold of book 6! Once I start I can’t put a book down, I tend to read the last few chapters slower to make them last as long as possible before its all over and have to wait for the next installment. I have reviewed all 5 books on Amazon with 5* ratings and I follow your facebook page and your blog. Good luck to everyone and hope to be a winner!!

Fiona Wilson

If I’m being totally honest with you I can’t even remember how I first found out about your books, I believe a friend recommended you to me. It was most definitely one of the best things I’ve ever done though!

As you know I am a huge fan, I have followed the series all the way through and the books are on my ‘straight to the top of my review list’ as soon as I get them. I have recommended the series to so many people, including my hairdresser who loves them as much as I do.

I love the fact that with each new couple we meet we find out more about Blackthorn as a whole. The different couples all have their own strengths and weaknesses. We are now heading towards everyone coming together and I can’t wait to see what happens.

I liked your Facebook page a long time ago and I’ve also left reviews everywhere for all 5 books.

Karen Ridley

I found Blackthorn via Amazon…. I ordered Book One on March 2nd 2014 and then ordered Books Two and Three on March 13th…. I was hooked and still am. Each books brings it’s own torture… the wonderful anticipation waiting for it to arrive… pure excitement when I finally have the new story in my hands… but then the dilemma…. so keen and eager to turn those pristine pages and uncover the drama that unfolds but knowing then it will be over far to soon…. I managed to hold on for a whole week when I received Blood Dark….and it was worth the wait but still over far too quickly and now I patiently await the next installment… I love the blend of characters, each with their own traumas….I love the drama that you build in each book by itself coupled with the ongoing thread throughout the series…. I could go on and on… I just love Blackthorn.

Suzanne Millan

Ack! I almost missed entering!!! What kind of supporter am I if I let life get in the way of Blackthorn??? Sheesh…so embarrassing! 😉 So…here is my entry…

How did I discover Blackthorn? Well, it was a year ago…in fact, close to today’s date…on Nov. 22, 2014, I downloaded Blood Shadows from Amazon. I had had a rough year so I was looking for a mental escape and I was new to PNR…I was browsing on Amazon and the Blood Shadows cover caught my eye…or should I say Kane’s eyes enticed me to read the synopsis and I was further intrigued. Once I read it, or should I say *devoured* it, I downloaded Blood Roses 5 days later on the 27th, Blood Torn one day later, and Blood Deep on Dec. 1. Yes, Blood Roses pushed me over the edge and I downloaded the next 2 books while I was *re-reading* Blood Roses…lol…that story was so intense, I needed to re-read it before moving on to Blood Torn. After that, I was hopelessly hooked (Caleb has that effect…ask Leila). 🙂

What do I like about the series? Oh, what a question… The stories are each quite intense…they’re smartly written with plots that are unpredictable and have plot twists that take you by surprise (several times for me). They have brave, intelligent heroines that have believable flaws, yet rise to the occasion to show their strengths and overcome their weaknesses…I love the heroines. And then there are the heroes…or anti-heroes. 😉 What would PNR be without sinfully smokin’ hot leading men…and you have created some definite hotties for our imaginations. Kane, Caleb, Jask, and Eden are each incredible, distinct personalities…they’re strong, intelligent, courageous, loyal, and caring in their own unique ways…not to mention delectably gorgeous…and each has their own dangerous side…though some are a bit more unpredictable/volatile than others. 😉 And the villains…grr…they’re Villainous with a capital V…they are vile and know how to live up to it….I can’t wait to see each of them get their comeuppance. 😉 The world-building has been nothing short of jaw-dropping…the stratified society…the oppression…the looming prophecy…the 4th species…tears between dimensions…as fantastic as the ideas, they’re all written in a believable way. I could go on forever about what I love about the series. It is that good. I know I mentioned this before, but what I also love about the series is the time and effort you take to describe scenes…the little nuances of body positions or expressions…the things the characters say (or don’t say)…it paints a brilliantly vivid picture in my mind’s eye…I love your writing style. And one more thing…once you finish writing one book, you actively work on the next book in the series…and you keep your readers abreast of what is to come…I appreciate that more than you know. It shows that you care about your readers, too….it means a lot, and it makes me happy to be a supporter of Blackthorn and you. I’ve been proud to recommend your books to others. I absolutely love the Blackthorn series and knowing there are more books to come makes me one very happy reader. I can’t wait to read them. 🙂 <3

I discovered the series in GoodReads. Blood roses was the 1st book I’ve read and I was already hooked by the time I finished reading it. I read Blood Shadows & get to know the other main characters. Although I’ve enjoyed reading its sequels, for me, Leila & Caleb were the most challenging and interesting than any other couples in the series. Especially Caleb who denounced any luxuryliving in Midtown with his High Order bloodline and continued to live in Blackthorns despite his harsh experience. After living in darkness for so long, he denied any possibilities that someone else who would loved and cared for him. Right now, Leila is the only one who could reach him since the other members of the Blackthorn team refused to believe that he can be saved so I’m anxious to see more in the upcoming books
