Boy am I glad I stumbled across your books on Amazon! For me, they are perfect. I love the way the heroines are created, their strong and defiant to injustice. I also love the visions that you invoke in my imagination with the world you are creating; but most of all, I really love how easy it is to fall for those bad, bad boys……mmmmhmmm. Can’t wait for Blood Torn.

I found a link to these books on fb and OMG I’m so glad I did. I have read through these 3 books in less than a week. I love the structure on each couple having their own book so we really get to know these characters and experience the journey with them. Kane, Caleb and Jask…… what can I say other than ‘huge sigh’….. I love these characters. I feel that even when I reread these books they are still going to evoke the same on the edge of my seat feelings. Can’t wait to read about Eden and Jessie and I hope many more. Thank you for such fantastic stories 🙂 many more late nights and early mornings on the cards lol

I hope you get just as much out of them the second time around, if not more. And I’m thrilled you’re excited about meeting Eden and Jessie. But don’t worry, there are more books planned. The journey is far from over yet. So yes, many more late nights and early mornings for us both! 😀

This series stands tall with powerhouses such as the Brotherhood, the Breed, and the Fever World. Blood Deep quick, please!

I found your books about 3 weeks ago…and read all three in about 4 days. Love, love love them! I just reread Blood Roses. I love Caleb and Leila the best! I am not sure why maybe because they have the most difficult obstacles for true love to win out. Also, is there a way for these humans to live longer? Looking forward to Blood Deep and the continuation of the other stories especially Leila and Caleb.

Lindsay J. Pryor

Hi Stephanie! I’m so, so glad you found my books and I’m thrilled you enjoyed them. 😀 Thank you so much for letting me know! I think I’ve got a particular soft spot for Leila and Caleb for the very same reason as you – they have such a tough journey ahead. Yes, there is a way for humans to live longer. Unfortunately it’s all part of Sirius’ (head of the Global Council) master plan. You’ll learn more of that as the series progresses. 😉 Blood Deep isn’t too far away – I promise. I have chewed through your three books in three days – I’m completely hooked. It so unbelievably easy to become enthralled in the world of Blackthorn. Each of these stories have put me on the edge of my seat, in tears, excitement, anxious, and also laughing. The depth of the characters and also the complications that intertwine during their stories are so believable that when I read it I feel as though I am experiencing each of the characters feelings as they’re happening. I cannot wait for the next installment – You’ve left the series with a doozy of a cliff hanger!

I started reading your books not quite 2 weeks ago. I usually read 3-5 books a week as I have been an avid reader since I was 8 years old and was proudly given my very own library card. Book Bub gives daily suggestions on good reads and I stumbled across the first book in the Blackthorn series. I am so glad that I did! You are an excellent writer and your books are mesmerizing! I am going to have a hard time waiting until this summer for the next one!! The only suggestion that I could make would be to have your publisher spell check before going to print. Sorry, having worked as a proof reader in a printing company it’s a pet peeve of mine. However, it will never deter me from reading anything that you write. As I said before, you are a great writer. God bless.

Hi Gini. What truly wonderful compliments! Thank you hugely for taking the time to share your thoughts. I’m so glad you discovered my books too! As a professional proofreader, I’m guessing very little slips past you – if anything at all. Thank you so much for raising your concern. All my books go through a U.K. spellcheck during the editing process but I know that, inevitably, some slip through. It’s truly annoying when it does. I share your pet peeve. I’m so glad it hasn’t deterred you from reading more though and that you’ve still been able to enjoy the stories themselves. Take care. X

Yay!! It’s always brilliant to welcome a new reader into Blackthorn. I’m really pleased you found my series, Julie! 🙂 But oh no, don’t be sad – I promise I won’t make you wait any longer than you have to for Blood Dark. It’s just terrific to know you’re rooting for all our heroes and heroines to make it out okay. I’ve had strict warnings from my readers about one in particular. It seems I’m going to have a protest on my hands if anything happens to Jask! I’ll do my best… Thanks so much for getting in touch!

I just finished the first 3 books for the second time and followed them by reading the 4th for the first time in a matter of less than 4 days. I absolutely love the world that you have created and cannot wait for the next installments. I was reading that as of right now there are no movie plans for this, but, honestly I think it would make a brilliant TV series. Of course, I would be just as pleased to see it on the big screen. I’m truly hoping that Hollywood will have a change of heart, because I would love to see this outside of our imaginations, although I don’t think it could get any better than the world you have painted in my head!

Nicole, thank you hugely for your awesome comment. I’m really pleased you’ve enjoyed Blackthorn so far, and enough for a second read too! You’re far from alone in wanting to see Blackthorn on the screen. It’s brilliant to know that the books are vivid enough in your head that you could imagine it going that way. There’s certainly been a lot of discussion amongst readers about who could play the lead roles. 😉 (If you’re on Pinterest, there’s a board dedicated to readers’ choices if you’re curious.) Personally, I’d opt for a TV series over the big screen. I think so much more could be done with the story that way. Maybe one day. In the interim, we’ll all just stick to having fun with our own imaginations! I hope you continue to enjoy the series.

There are three more books to come after Blood Dark - there are eight in the series in total. Some days I think I could keep writing them forever too! Maybe if my readers are still loving the series by the time it ends, I'll do some spin-offs one day. 😉

Hey Lindsay
I have just finished Blood Dark and can’t wait to read Blood Instinct. So can you come with a guess to then Blood Instinct come out? Is it in spring, summer, autumn or winter?

***SPOILER ALERT***

I really can’t wait for the next 3 books. Blood dark was really good, even when there were some things in the book I did not like(mostly because I wanted to cry or were frustrated with the characters) but I really don’t like the end then I can’t read the next book right afterward. I am also beginning to really hate Feinith, Rob and Serius. I really hope they get a very horribly death and do minimum damage to others until they die. I feel like too many have already died, most or more all innocent people who die scared, alone, in pain and in so many other horrible ways. I can’t believe someone can be so cold and power hungry.

Hi Camilla! I’m so pleased you enjoyed Blood Dark and are looking forward to the next three so much. Thank you! I can’t reveal too much at this stage about the release of Blood Instinct but it should certainly be with you by the end of next Summer at the latest. Fingers crossed!

I know exactly what you mean about Feinith, Rob and Sirius. They’re not exactly my favourite characters either! Keep rooting for our heroes and heroines and hope for the best. 😉

Have read all the books in Blackthorn Series and I wish to let you know how much I have enjoyed them. You have managed to keep the suspense flowing which forces me to keep reading until the book is done ,and to dip into end pages to see how the plot is progressing. Case in point is Blood Dark- I love Kane and needed to know if Caitlin survived. My grumble- long wait for next book. Keep up the good work.

Hi,Lindsay! I just finished reading blood dark… Kinda fast forward in some pages.. I hate those doubtful moments (yep! moments, in every chapter!) between K and C.. I thought their love feelings was sealed in blood shadows…Love the stories of Caleb and Leila (blood roses) as well as Eden and Jessie (blood deep)- less drama… Im guessing there will be complications between Caleb and Leila on the next books since they parted with problems at front.. Just please dont prolong it too much the way with K and C.. Im not a fan of lycans (no offense to lycan fans) so i did not bother to read Jask and Phia’s story.. I just catch up the concept on the next books.. But i guess i am going to read blood instinct since it will be momentous for blackthorn series.. Looking forward to the next books!

P.S.
Thank you for not making it more than 10 books! 😉

Lindsay J. Pryor

Hi Jam! Fast forward some pages?! That’s practically a crime, isn’t it? Lol! And you skipped Blood Torn because it featured lycans? Heck – don’t confess to that too loudly or you’ll be lynched!:D Jask is the most popular hero to date and has miraculously converted many a devoted vampire fan to the dark side of lycan appeal. You should try and give it a go – not that I’m biased or anything (obviously). If you don’t though, hopefully you’ll still be able to pick up some of the pieces in Blood Instinct. I hope you have fun with it. Thanks so much for stopping by to comment! 🙂

I loved EVERY book! I don’t understand why Jam doesn’t like the lycans, because I felt that was one of the sweetest stories. But to each his/her own! I discovered Blood Shadows on my kindle because I was searching for a new paranormal romance series and I cannot believe my luck! Most of the time I just want to knock the heads of each story’s hero and heroine together but that just made it for a quicker read lol. I couldn’t put them all down. I was disappointed to get to the 5th book and realize I have to wait until 2016 to read the next! /sigh I love the build up of the entire story with all of the characters and I'[m sure the 6th book will deliver another amazing story – sounds like a revisit to Caleb and Leila, which I will be happy with.

Hi Lindsay,

I’ve recently gone back and reread your books. I started them years ago but couldn’t handle the cliffhangers so I waited until more books came out to read them all at once. But I had no internet at home and and while going through my bookshelf thought, what’s the harm in starting again? Apparently I haven’t learned my lesson. I devoured the first three book’s again (surprised by how much I had forgotten), then went out and got the rest and demolished them as well in three days (it was either sleep or blackthorn, a loosing battle).

I’m still surprised by how I keep switching who my favorite couple is, first it was Eden and Jessi, now it’s Kain and Caitlin. Surprised because I distinctly remember not like Kain for some reason during my first read (maybe his massive trust issues?). But I’m also extremely frustrated, I feel like all the characters are at the cliff of a huge mountain about to fall, but with each book it’s like “Oh no wait, there’s a higher place”.

And it’s funny because even though this was my second read of the first half I was still irritated by the sudden shift in focus each book, despite knowing it all would connect I still thought (screamed) ‘no! I want more of Leila and Caleb!’

Anyway sorry about the rant. Your ability to wretch emotions from each scene and hike up the stakes literally has me sweating and cursing, your sweet breakthroughs has me blessing you. Then your cliffhangers and epilogues have me cursing again. I suppose what I’m trying to say is I both love and simultaneously hate you at the same time. 😊

I can’t wait for your next book, at least it’s only a month away this time. And though it’s not the couple I desperately (desperately) want to find out about, I’ll just wait for their book next year.

Thank you for writing this beautifully painful series. Keep up the great work.

Lindsay J. Pryor
Reply

Hi Sarah,

Firstly, thanks so much for going back and re-reading my books. That means a lot. I understand totally about the cliffhangers though. I’ve had a fair number of readers say the same thing. I don’t know who will feel more relieved when all eight books are finally available – me or Blackthorn’s audience! And wow that you caught up and then demolished the rest so quickly.

I get the same thing about the couples too. Whichever one I’m writing about becomes my favourite, then I start on the next and it all changes again. As for our Kane, he’s a hard pill to swallow in Blood Shadows for many. I’m just so pleased to hear he’s now won you over.

And as for Caleb and Leila, argh, I can’t wait to reveal the rest of their story. We’re nearly there!

Lol – feel free to rant anytime. 😀 Equally, feel free to love me or hate me for what I inflict on you. As long as you “feel” something when reading Blackthorn, that’s what matters. Thank you for your incredible compliments, even if they are said with angst! (My fault.)

Thank you SO much for reading my books and for taking time out of your day to leave me such a wonderful message. I deeply appreciate it.

Take care.

Hey Nicole! My first message from a South African fan. How exciting! Hey! I just found out about this series a week ago and… well… I only have the last 10 chapters of Blood Bound left!

Yes, I practically put my life on hold because I couldn’t put those books down and now I just can’t find the courage to read those last chapters because I know there will be a cliffhanger and I don’t know if I will be able to handle that and I really wish I had found these books later this year when the last one will finally be out to spare me the agony!

So yeah, I love you and I hate you just as much, but I guess that’s exactly how you want us poor readers to feel and I wouldn’t have it any other way! 😛

Anyway, I’ll go finish Blood Bound now and whatever happens to me next will be all your fault! 😀
