Hi

I noticed a Facebook post about your books at the end of last week and thought I’d purchase the first one to read. Well it’s now Sunday night and I’ve read all three and thoroughly enjoyed them. But there’s just one problem…. I want to know what happens next. Do you have a time frame for your next book please?

Also I have to say I knew you were a British writer by some of the words you used and terminology. It only got better when I read your bio and realised your a welsh girl too!! So I just wanted to say congratulations on a fantastic series making us welshies proud!! :0)

Thanks

Faith

Hi Faith,

Thanks hugely for your message – I’m so pleased you’re enjoying Blackthorn. Aww, and to know I’m making my own proud means SO much. Yep, I’m a Welsh girl through and through. I thought it was about time we had some input into PNR. 😉

And thanks for your query too – I’m just about to announce any minute that Blood Torn will be out this year. I can’t say anything more specific for now, but will be giving readers plenty of advance notice.

I hope you enjoy your next stint into Blackthorn just as much!

Dear Lindsey, your books were amazing to read. I enjoyed every page of it no author has ever made me cry and laugh at the same time. The characters you build in your story was hard not to love. Like an addict, the only cure we need is your books. Love you lots ;

Just found your series on Amazon last week and I only have a few pages left of Blood Torn. I can’t wait to finish but I also don’t want it to end!! I love your writing style and creativity…can’t wait to find out what happens next. I almost wish I didn’t find these until the entire series was finished. Almost. Instead, I’ll just have to reread the series once the next installment is published!

Hi Malorie! Thank you so, so much for your lovely message! Ah, it’ll be some time before the series is finished as there’s still more to come after book 4, so I’m glad you’ve started now – though I know it can be frustrating waiting for the next book to come out. But yes, please do keep re-reading! 😉 And I promise to keep writing as fast as I can… 😀

Hello!!
Once I started Blood Shadows I was unable to stop until I was forced to after the teaser from Blood Deep. I cannot wait to continue these intricate well though out story lines! My poor kids… you’re still reading!!!
Thank you, you have a very talented creative mind, keep up the awesome work!

Hi Kasandra! Thank you so, SO much for your lovely comment. I’m really sorry about the delay in replying. I’m thrilled you’ve enjoyed Blackthorn so far. As for your poor kids – oops, I’m so sorry about that. :-0 Will it make you feel better if I tell you you’re not alone?? I’ve had a number of parents say the same. I’d best start writing shorter stories, I think! 😉

Lindsay,
I just finished book four after devouring the other three in as many days. Now the agonizing wait for book five. I am completely enamored of the world you created – your brilliant writing, engaging plot, and wonderful characters.

I have to add that I especially appreciate the fact that you proudly use wording and spelling that is NOT American English. I know there are likely reviewers out there that would complain about it, using it as a detractor or excuse to leave negative feedback. I, personally, think it adds to the narrative and will say so in my reviews.

So now I’m off to read the books again, slower this time so I can leave an effective, extremely positive review. So hurry, hurry, hurry with book five!!!!!! 🙂

All my best,
Steph (aka Fangirl)

Hi Steph! (I just picked up your other comment too – thanks hugely for joining in my giveaway!)

Thank you for your wonderful compliments. It’s brilliant to know you’ve enjoyed Blackthorn so much! I really appreciate you taking the time to tell me so.

It particularly means a lot that you’ve appreciated my use of British English. To know it has added to the narrative for you is fantastic. I think it’s really hard on authors who have to change their “voice” to ensure they fit in – which can happen a lot to Brits trying to appeal to the US market. Thankfully the majority of my US readers have really enjoyed the differences rather than having swayed towards the negative. But, yes, unfortunately it can work to the contrary too!

Thank you hugely in advance for your pending reviews – another thing I truly appreciate you taking the time to write. I very much look forward to seeing what you have to say. I hope you enjoy your re-reads as much! I’d best get back to book 5…fast…!!! 😉

Take care and all the best,

Linds 🙂

Hi Lindsay
A friend of mine persuaded me to buy your books a few months ago but I saved them for a holiday. I’ve just returned from my week away having devoured all four books (read each one in a day, four days straight). Suffice to say my husband didn’t get much conversation over those four days!
When I got to the end of the first book and started the second, I was really disappointed that the story didn’t carry on from Kane and Caitlin, who I’d developed a real connection with. My first thought was “Where is Kane and who the hell is Leila?” Suffice to say that disappointment didn’t last long. By the end of Blood Roses, I was like ‘Kane who?’ Okay, not really, but my allegiance switched to Caleb and Leila being my favourites. And then I read Blood Torn and – well, I think you can guess where this is going. Phia’s feisty attitude had me laughing out loud on more than one occasion (she reminded me of myself in a lot of ways!) and whereas I’d been ambivalent about Jask in Blood Shadows, I loved him in Blood Torn. I thought the fourth book, introducing Eden and Jessie and bringing them all together just made me ravenous for Book Five. The summer seems like a long way away.
In terms of your writing style, you have a lovely flow to your stories which makes them easy to read, but draw you in deep to the characters. You care about each and every one of the protagonists. That’s quite a talent (I read a LOT of books and I write books too so I know how rare that kind of talent is). You should be very proud of this series (I have no doubt you are) and am sure I won’t be saving book 5 for any holidays!
All the very best

Hi Tracey,

This was such a wonderful message to receive; you put a huge smile on my face. Thank you so much. Please do apologise to your husband on my behalf though. I bet he’ll never let you take a Blackthorn book on holiday with you again!

It’s always brilliant to hear when my characters have the kind of impact you describe. It was a risk jumping from one couple to the next in the first four books for the very reason you mentioned, but it really did feel like the best way to tell the overall story of Blackthorn. I’m glad it worked for you. I’m thrilled that you’re so looking forward to the next installment.

Thank you for your huge compliment about my writing style, too. I do care very much about every single one of my protagonists (flaws and all!), their history and their journey from here. I think it comes from having lived with them all for such a long time. I’m so glad that comes across. The pride comes when I receive lovely messages such as yours. It means a lot that you took the time to get in touch.

All the very best,

Lindsay 🙂

Hi ZsaZsa. I would love to but the ball is very much in Tantor’s court as to whether they want to acquire the rights to the rest. It’s out of my hands, I’m afraid. Thanks so much for asking!

Hi, Lindsay!!
I came across your blackthorn series just a few weeks ago and I want to thank you for writing such wonderful masterpiece. I rarely read PNR genre books, but yours captivated me so much. I was so engrossed in reading that I sleep early in the morning for how many days. Those days gave me an emotional roller coaster ride. The ending was heart wrenching, at the same time beautiful. My heart is so full of emotions i can’t fully express. I can’t believe that the series is already finished, I feel like i can’t move on, that i keep on rereading the last few chapters of blood broken, especially caleb and leila’s epilogue😅😅😊.
Thank you so much for writing and sharing Blackthorn series! Definitely one of my favorite series. Sending you my hugs! Thank you!

Hi Lindsay! I am a voracious reader and have never contacted an author before … but I had to reach out to you after reading the Blackthorn series. I am a huge PNR fan and I have to tell you that the Blackthorn series is one of my absolute favorites of all time! I had purchased the first 3 books in a bundle about a year ago and finally got around to starting the series sbout a week and a half ago and I was hooked … and immediately went online and purchased the rest of the series. It’s a good thing I am retired, because I couldn’t stop reading. I laughed and cried and my heart raced as I got lost in your wonderful stories. Take care!
