PRAISE FOR THE BLACKTHORN SERIES

“I have to say I was not prepared for this story, nor can I believe that this was Pryor’s debut novel. Blood Shadows blew my mind not only because the characters were emotionally intense and complex, but also the plot was a perfectly carved creation that’s twist and suspense kept me speechless.” ~ Seeing Night Book Reviews

This is a paranormal universe like none you have encountered before… There are stories that are so powerful, so intense that I do not believe anyone should warn you about what is to come… I truly do feel that if you love the Paranormal genre and have not yet discovered Lindsay J. Pryor or these novels then you need to read them, experience them firsthand.” ~ Keeper Bookshelf

“Lindsay Pryor has crafted a world that’s intricate, gritty and genuinely fascinating… Book five is darker and harsher than I expected and all the better for it. Lindsay Pryor’s ability to stay true to her finely crafted story is enviable and her characters are rich and demanding. I’d say its fabulous. In fact its beyond fabulous – its fabulous on steroids! And I’m a goner!” ~ Big Little Sister Blog

“Blood Shadows honestly blew me away. This series starter was intelligent, dark, and very intricate… Blood Shadows is intense and dark, unlike any other vampire novel I’ve ever read… a GraveTells Must Read!” ~ GraveTells

“Lindsay J. Pryor completely stunned me with the first book in her Blackthorn series…The plot is interesting, well thought out and executed exceptionally…I’ve read enough books over the years to be able to sniff out, or at least suspect, most plot twists but I did not see this one coming at all and, once I’d picked my jaw up off the floor, I fell in love with the book even more.” ~ Best Chick Lit

“This book is exceptional for a first in the series, I could not put it down, I just had to read it all in one go…Blood Roses is also another un-put-down-able book….This is a really great series… a very worthy 5 stars!!” ~ The Romance Cover

“I don’t think I have read such a finely executed dark PNR world before…This series truly surprised me. I didn’t think I would love it that much or be intrigued by it. I couldn’t stop thinking about these books once I was done with them… The world-building is spectacular. The characters are enthralling and addicting… Plain fabulousness.” ~ Gaga Over Books

“I am completely enthralled with this paranormal series. You get so wrapped up in the story and characters that you lose track of time… This is one of my favorite series so far this year!” ~ Paranormal Book Club

“If you’re looking for a new PNR series that has a dark world and complicated characters, then you’ll want to grab a copy of this. I can’t wait to read the next book.” ~ FictionVixen

“The push-pull dynamic between Caitlin and Kane is superb and quite possibly the best I’ve ever read… Pryor makes every moment between these characters count, and the result is a complex, fully developed, and insanely hot romance… Blood Shadows is a deliciously twisted and exciting tale… It will shake and stir you in the best of ways. I couldn’t put it down.” ~ Janice, TheDemonLibrarian

“…the author’s fluid writing style kept me glued to the pages. But more than her talent for words is her ability to create a complex world while intersecting character storylines adeptly… If you haven’t picked up the books in The Blackthorn Series, you are doing yourself a disservice as a reader.” ~ The Author Visits

“Kane, the vampire in question, was just ridiculously sexy. I mean ridiculously so; no woman even stands a chance. I wouldn’t even bother putting up a fight, to be honest. Just accept the sexiness that is Kane, because resistance is futile. But as well as all that yumminess, he was also a very intriguing and complex character; a real anti-hero and an alpha male of the highest order.” ~ Lynsey, TheDemonLibrarian

“This is a series that you just have to read! I can honestly say there was not one page that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy. I was enraptured by every word! This book is a masterpiece. The imagination and dedication that must have gone in to the Blackthorn series is admirable.” ~ My Bookworm Blogger

“…the chemistry between the two main characters sizzzzzzzles. If you love vamp romances, you’ll want to read this one.” ~ Vamp Chix

“I cannot say how much I love this author. She is creating a world which sucks you in, which makes you want to know more about Blackthorn and its inhabitants.” ~ I Heart Books

“I absolutely adore the world she’s put into place here. Everything is so well formed with its own history and culture that it really feels like I’m living in Blackthorn whenever I’m reading. I love the story, and I love the characters, and I really love the world they’re living in…five stars aren’t nearly enough to even begin to cover it.” ~ Marked by Books

“This concept is creative and different from other paranormal books I’ve read lately.” ~ My Paranormal Book Review

“Blood Shadows is a wonderful start to a new paranormal romance series by Lindsay J. Pryor…there is a ton of sexual tension throughout the book, and the sex scenes are HOT. It’s passionate and intense. Weaved around the emotional romance is an amazing plot. It has a complex storyline with twists and turns. You won’t be able to put this book down, and you’ll be wondering what is going to happen up until the last page.” ~ Paranormal Opinion

“I loved the exciting twists and turns, and all those plays on the emotions. I was on the edge of my seat, and thought I could just die from anticipating what may come next. It was thrilling for sure.” ~ Michelle’s Paranormal Vault of Books

“I loved this book. I couldn’t believe the emotional depths both Caitlin and Kane went through.” ~ Rom Fan Reviews

One of the best books I’ve ever read.” ~ Fae Books

“I am officially addicted to this series. Why, you ask? Because Lindsay Pryor is my kind of fearless author. She isn’t afraid to “go there”, to create characters and situations that challenge me as a reader.” ~ The Demon Librarian

“WOW!…the author does an amazing job not only with the world-building that is absolutely astonishing but with the characterization also…I recommend it to all the fans of this genre, because it’s definitely a unique read!” ~ Love and Live to Read

“Lindsay J. Pryor is an author with a great potential. She writes paranormal romance mixed with urban fantasy the way I like it – clever world-building, intense characters and no easy options for them to take.” ~ Nocturnal Book Reviews

“Blood Roses was an awesome continuation of the Blackthorn series. Not only are Pryor’s characters and fathomlessly dark love stories fabulous, but her continual world building of Blackthorn blows me away. Blood Roses is a highly recommended read! ” ~ Gravetells

I began reading Blood Shadow and I didn’t expect to enjoy reading it but I did! So much so that I bought Blood Roses and Blood Torn. So far I’ve read Blood Roses and it’s gotten me excited to read the third book in the Blackthorn trilogy! Hopefully it will only be a trilogy for as long as it takes you to write a few more books to go with them!

Considering you didn’t expect to enjoy it, Pam, I’m really pleased you decided to give Blackthorn a try. Thank you! And I’m totally thrilled you have enjoyed it. Blood Deep will be out this year – and there are more to come. I hope you enjoy them all just as much. 🙂

Wow… Loved all 3 books! Can’t wait fir blood deep & what else is next to come. Would be great to see it on the big screen too. Be more intense than 50 shades of grey 😀 Great to see it all in action! Hope blood deep is out soon, so your books can occupy myself again (:

Hi Katie! I’m thrilled you’ve loved Blackthorn so far – thank you! Ah, the big screen would be fun indeed. You’ll have to tell me who you’d pick to play the roles some time. 😉 Blood Deep will be out later this year, so not too long to wait for your next instalment. Feel free to dive in with Kane, caleb or Jask again until then! 🙂

Well Lindsay, I can safely say I could make a list of known actors who’d appeal to women for these roles, however, I think new talent is needed to live up to the expectations of these blackthorn bad boys 😉 You’d have to give me an insight to whom you’d chose to play those roles? 😉 As for choosing 1 off those bad boys, I can’t resist but to dive in with all 3 again 🙂

Yay! Katie, you’ve inspired a post (and maybe another giveaway for the forthcoming weeks): picking actors for Blackthorn. I’m going to do some posts soon about each of the characters, so that could be a great conclusion. I agree that ideally we’d have some new talent but, hey, it’ll be fun choosing from what we have already! Sooo, get your thinking cap on and I will too. 😉 Oh and totally get diving in with all three again – not even I can choose between them! 😀

Katie

Definitely got my thinking cap going now 😉 Just a few names I wouldn’t mind seeing, but as to whom would play who, that’s a tough decision, hmm…
Christian Bale
Theo James
Paul Wesley
Ian somerhalder
Gerrard Butler
Jensen Ackles
Sean Faris
Chris Hemsworth

Although, I can definitely pick out two names who’d make a great match to play Jask 😉 Either Gerrard Butler or Chris Hensworth. However, I’m swaying more to Chris 😉

Lindsay J. Pryor

I’m liking some of your thinking there, Katie. Jensen Ackles – heck, yes! I don’t know what part for but I’ll find one! 😀 Someone else has mentioned Chris Hemsworth for Jask. I’m thinking Josh Holloway. And I’ve thought for a while now that Henry Cavill would make a great Kane. Thinking cap back on… X

Katie
Reply

Yes… Henry Cavil is a piece of eye candy 😉 I reckon he’d play Kane well… Especially with those blue eyes. They are to die for! 😀 As for Jensen he could always Jake 😉 That way we’d get to see him more. Unless I find a more fitting role within blood deep when it’s released 😉 x

I’m glad you agree with Henry, Katie. I’ve got a great pic of him in ‘Kane mode’. I’ll post it soon. And I know exactly what you mean about those eyes. *sigh* Jensen as Jake, hmmm… that means we’ll have to find someone suitable to play his older brother. I have failed so far but will keep looking! As for Blood Deep – I have a possible Eden tucked away on my Pinterest boards. I’ll disclose him soon too. 🙂 Xx

Eeeeeek… Lindsey, all this film & character talk is making me very excited, haha! I’ve seen a great pic of Henry too 😉 You shall most definitely have to post it soon & as for your Eden choice, I hope you don’t keep it secret for too long 😉 on the other hand, I’d quite happily like to see Theo James play Caleb – he’s played a great vampire part before, in underworld – awakening & lets not forget the most recent being divergent (sigh!) xx

Thank you for writing such fabulous books can’t wait for the last book to come out and also quite sad that it is the last one. I have grown to like each and every character you have written about and feel like I will miss them when it’s all over. I read about a book a week and only found your books 2 weeks ago and have read all of them all. Keep up the good work. Hope to read more of your books in the future. Big fan.

Mac – thank you so much! It’s awesome to know my characters have had that kind of impact on you. Hopefully you’ll be pleased to know the series doesn’t end with book 4. Blood Deep introduces the fourth and final couple but the series is nowhere near over just yet – there’s much more to come. I really appreciate you getting in touch, and your support for my writing.

Thanks hugely, Sara! I’m thrilled you’re enjoying them! 🙂 Hmm, yes, Leila did have a bit of a tough time in book 2. Some of those scenes were tough to write.

Lol, I promise I won’t keep you waiting any longer than I have to for the next instalment – Summer 2015 for that one, and then not too long after that for the next one. 😉 Thanks so much for getting in touch!

Hi Lindsay, I love your books so far and recommended them to my friends. Great story overall and very cleverly connected without being overbearing. I love how the 2 main characters are always in a mental battle, and usually equally matched. The women are strong, I love that. My taste is hardly romantic, I usually lean more toward, dark paranormal, action packed, plenty of violence, funny, clever banters, and full of unusually wild sexual experiences, instead of just romance. Although, it may not be that kind of book necessarily, I look forward to reading about all 4 bad boys in action by the next few books. I feel as though I’ve heard of Kane’s deadly capabilities, but have yet to see him in full action. I got a glimpse of Caleb in action, and Jask was phenomenal. Eden also had some violent action, that was great, though i enjoyed his swagger even more. I’d love to see what Kane the master vamp is truly capable of. I read the sample for Blood Dark and I’m excited to see that rooftop action from Kane. On another note, I enjoyed the sex scenes, Kane & Caleb were my fav. I’d love to see more raw sexual experiences from these characters, some wild, and surprisingly arousing situations. I feel that Kane has so much potential in that department, especially since that’s what he promised Caitlyn, lol. These are just suggestions, please do what you feel is best, I trust your judgment. You’ve done a great job with these books. Thank you very much! Keep up the good work.

Thank you, Dodo! It’s always immense to have a reader love my books enough to recommend them – I really appreciate you doing that. There’s nothing like word of mouth. And thanks hugely for your comment/feedback and all the time you put into it. It’s always good for me to know what you enjoyed and what you’d love to see more of. You’re clearly itching to see our heroes in full-on action mode, as well as loads more of their capabilities revealed, which is brilliant. Don’t worry, it’s definitely coming! I’ve been on the edge of my seat for a long time wanting to share the next part of all their stories. I really hope you enjoy what’s to come. Fingers crossed!

Dear Lindsay,
I heard about your Blackthorn series from my client, Anne Flosnik. It is the best series I have read in a long time. I have truly falling in love with all the characters and it took me less than two weeks to read all four books. I purchased them through my kindle and had a hard time putting it down. I can’t wait for the next one to be released. I have even told a few people about them that I know. Keep up the great work. I am working on getting the audio books so I can hear Anne read them and put voices to each person. I can’t wait to read what happens next.

I have just read the entire blackthorn series and I honestly cannot wait for the last book and see if Caleb and Leila get their HEA. I so hope they do. I found I that i got very emotionally invested in these characters. I really liked the tension between the characters Kane and Caitlin, its my favourite of all the storylines … but I really liked the chemistry and story between Caleb and Leila.

Is there mailing list that I can join to find out when your next book is due for release?
