Blood Torn Cover Reveal and Blackthorn’s New Look

A little while ago, Bookouture conferred with me about the possibility of a new look for my Blackthorn series. At first, I wasn’t sure. I loved the covers as they were – no doubt about that. Then I was shown the new version. Hands up, I fell in love with them instantly. Not only do they now feature a glimpse of the district of Blackthorn itself, but both the heroine and hero make it onto the front cover of each. Vibrant, energetic and combining both the romantic and thriller elements that define the books, I’m totally elated with the final result. I hope you like the new look too!

So, without further delay, here’s the cover unveiling for Blood Torn (book 3) – and you can scroll down to see the new look Blood Roses (book 2) and Blood Shadows (book 1).

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

Yay!!! So pleased, Tracey!! Thank you! Yet again, Bookouture have stepped up to the mark, methinks. 🙂 xxx

Michele

I adored the previous covers, but these are just as exceptional!

Lindsay J. Pryor

Hi Michele! I’m absolutely thrilled to bits you like them. Thanks so much for letting me (and Bookouture, of course!) know. Have a great weekend! 🙂

Fiona Chapman

oh wow!! They are amazing! Jask looks ridiculously gorgeous… but Caleb still does it for me, lol.
Truly wonderful new look, totally captures the feel of Blackthorn. 🙂

Lindsay J. Pryor

Wonderful! I’m SO glad you like them, Fiona. Phew! I was a bit nervous what readers who loved the other covers would think, but I agree that they totally capture the feel of Blackthorn – much more urban. And ahh, Jask IS ridiculously gorgeous. 😉 #AuthorBias #MyJask Though I will admit, that Caleb scowl does indeed take some beating. Hmmm… 🙂

Lindsay J. Pryor

Thanks, Renita! Loving your latest cover too. 🙂

kelly

Loving the new look, much more menacing

Lindsay J. Pryor

Hi Kelly! Thank you! Yes, those boys have most definitely got a look in their eyes this time around.

Jane Hunt

Loving the cover reveal and the new look Blackthorn. Very urban and edgy 🙂

Lindsay J. Pryor

Thanks, Jane – I’m so chuffed you like it. I think urban and edgy sums it up beautifully. 🙂

Renee

Diggin’ the new covers!

Lindsay J. Pryor

Thanks, Renee – I’m so pleased you like them! Thanks for commenting. 🙂

Tima Maria Lacoba

Like everyone else, I loved the old covers, but these are brilliant! Urban and gritty, and I love that each one has a different coloured theme – red for Blood Shadows, crimson for Blood Roses and purple for Blood Torn. (y)

Lindsay J. Pryor

I love the varied colour theme too, Tima. I’m just curious what colour Bookouture will use for Blood Deep now! We should place bets… 😉 I’m really glad you like the new look. X

Tima Maria Lacoba

Sorry that bracketed “y” was meant to be a thumbs up!

Lea

Very nice, but why the same models? I am a huge fan of the Blackthorn series, please don’t get me wrong. It’s just…..it’s hard to distinguish between each book upon first look (especially on my kindle). I will pay closer attention to the colors now though, cuz it’s worth it!

Lindsay J. Pryor

Hi Lea! Hey, it’s always good to hear from fans of the series, so thanks so much for your comments.

I know you have to look closer now, but hopefully the overall theme makes it obvious at first glance that they’re all part of the same series – especially for newbies. We’ll have to memorise those colours. 😉

I’m not sure what you mean about the same models though. Do you mean they look similar on each cover (more likely the girls)? If so, hopefully you’re seeing some similar traits between Leila (Blood Roses) and Sophia (Blood Torn) as they’re meant to be sisters. I’m also hoping you can see which of the two has the attitude problem!

Great to hear from you. 🙂

Joanna

I have just read first book blood shadows so far. Fantastic, absolutely loved it. Who are the models on the front cover? They look familiar.

Lindsay J. Pryor

Thanks so much, Joanna! I’m thrilled you enjoyed it! I’m afraid I don’t know who the models are as my publisher chooses them and then I just approve them. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are familiar as some of my readers have spotted them moonlighting on other book covers. I’ll have words – they should be far too busy solving Blackthorn issues for that. 😉

Amani

Hi ! Can you please tell me what’s the name of the man on Blood Shadow cover ? Thnx

Lindsay J. Pryor

Hi Amani! I’m really sorry but I don’t know. My publisher selects the models and covers, not me.
