Blackthorn’s Biggest Audiobook Giveaway
A couple of months ago, we celebrated the release of Blackthorn on audio with a giveaway of the first audiobook in the series, Blood Shadows. To enter, I’d asked you to let me know where in the world you are – and the response was amazing, both here and on Facebook.
I was so thrilled that I knew we’d have to have another giveaway once the next audiobooks in the series came out. And, thanks to the generosity of Bookouture and Lorella Belli Literary agency, and your incredible input, we decided we could make the next one even bigger than the last.

We were only going to give away one copy of Blood Torn too, but to celebrate it winning Best Paranormal Romance 2014 on Moonrise Book Blog (thanks to YOUR votes), we’ve added in an extra three to make a total of 4 signed copies of Blood Torn up for grabs as well.

HOW TO ENTER…
The whole point of giveaways is that they’re supposed to be simple and fun, so all you have to do is answer one question to enter. Inspired by one of my fantastic Facebook supporters, Dianne, who regularly chats to me about the prospect of my Blackthorn heroes turning up on her doorstep, your question is:
If you had the opportunity to invite THREE of Blackthorn’s main characters to a dinner party, which three would you invite and why? (You have to say why for your entry to be valid!)

Jask, he’s tall and doesn’t stand for any cr@p. Everything he does is for the best of his pack, and he’s loyal.
Sophia, she’s got a mouth on her, but stands up for what she believes in.

This could be the shortest dinner party ever! On condition that Jask could be there as my waiter, I’m going with a Kane, Phia and Caleb triangle! Why? Because of the pop-a-mint-into-a-bottle-of-Pepsi effect.
Kane will be highly amused watching Phia and Caleb baying for each others blood (well, maybe not the serryn’s blood!). And I can’t wait for Kane and Caleb to get together. Let the battle for top vamp begin!

First and foremost Caleb, he’s the darkest character and the most undiscovered. I would like to see him even in his darkest. He’s such a brooding, hardcore alpha male. I love his character. He’s my #1 book boyfriend. Then Caitlin, she is such a strong female character I think she could challenge Caleb’s ideas about the world, also I’d love for her to shadow read Caleb. Last but not least would have to be Jask, he’s the most well rounded character in my opinion. Even though they all have tough times, I feel Jask’s struggle impacts his species so much. Yes I understand there is much more or it then just the Northern Territory but the lycans are definitely underdogs, it’s hard not to want to meet him. Pick his brain, plus I think if he, Kane, and Caleb got on the same team they’d be unstoppable. I hope my answer is sufficient. I am also a writer, and your books have given me so much inspiration. The first two are still my favorites. I’m obsessed with star crossed lovers.

It has got to be Kane Malloy , Caleb Dehain and Jask Tao the three leading men. They are all so passionate in their beliefs and if they teamed up would be a force to be reckoned with and I think they could all be good friends so need to get them together in a safe setting. Oh and it helps that in my imagination that they are all so very HOT ! So they may not be safe after all teehee

I should preface my answer by saying I haven’t read the books. I’ve been waiting for the audio versions to come out. I travel 4 hours a day and as such all I have time for is listening audio books in my car while stuck in traffic. I can read the books any more as I don’t have any time (literally). I’m from Australia and I tried to purchase the audio books of the series her but they cost in excess of $40 each, not including postage. This is a luxury I cannot afford. As such, I hope I can win this to be able to finally enter the world of Blackthorn. So, here goes…
I would invite the non boring “Supes”. Leila the Serryn because she seems less of a handful that Phia. Then Jask the Lycan and Caleb the Vampire to round things off. Each can educate me on their people’s history from the non human point. They can tell me things that are in books (I hope). I didn’t pick others because I think Kane ‘s looks would be too distracting while Caitlyn is just human and her job would cause tension and a possible food fight may ensue.

I would love to have Jask, as he is 100% Raw Alpha Male that screams masculinity and sexuality and will do whatever it takes to protect what is his. I would definitely have Kane, he too is raw sexual emotion that is not afraid to take what he wants. He is smart,cunning and knows how to take care of business. I think I would like to meet Jessie,she is a survivor! To live in an environment as she has for so long and not give up. She has conviction and I would love to know more about her angelic abilities.

I would invite Jask, Caleb, and Eden. Of course, only I would there with them to bask in all that hot guy attention! I love the alpha males, yet each of these showed a more tender side, especially Jask and Eden. I thought about Kane because he strikes me as the “ultimate” male but thought I would have to work too hard to get him to show his softer side during dinner.
LOL! That sounds like some awesome basking, Lynne! 🙂 And I really like your take on why you’d leave Kane out of the equation in this instance. He most definitely doesn’t show that soft side very often so, no, you probably wouldn’t get to see it by the end of dinner. First would be Jack because he’s hot as hell and would protect his pack with his life. Than Eden because he would move heaven and earth to help his family. And than Truly just because she has no filter on her mouth. Most kids don’t.

It would be Kane and Jask…. they are both such alpha’s yet would seem to love very deeply…. Phia because she tries to act tough but is really a softy but she will have your back. the books were really good reads.

My first dinner guest would be Jask because after 4 books he is still my all time favorite hero! Like all your heroes Lindsay he is flawed but he is also true, fiercely loyal and good to his very core. My second guest would be Rone’s ghost/spirit so that he and Jask could have some special and much deserved father and son bonding time – I was truly devastated when Rone died and felt really cheated so this would compensate a bit! Next I would have Jessie as the angelic presence, and the one who, with her special powers and incredibly kind nature, has created this opportunity for father and son to be together again. Jessie is the strongest of all your female characters and I am drawn to her strength. I would have so many questions to ask her about her life, her abilities, her will to survive! Finally as I only have Rone’s ghost, I am hoping that you would allow me to complete my dinner party with little Tuly who won my heart from the very start! She is courageous, quirky and would not be spooked out by Rone’s ghost. She would definitely keep things light and funny throughout the evening!
Oh, Kay, what a scenario! I think if Jessie could, she so would. And I couldn’t agree more with what you said about Tuly not being spooked. I think she’d love to see Rone again. I’m so sorry you were devastated by Jask losing him. It was such a tough scene to write. I found it really hard letting him go. It’s brilliant to know Tuly won your heart though – she’s such a little fighter, and she certainly would keep the smiles coming. Thanks so much for joining in! I’m back…with my entry! Just three…*sigh*…you certainly don’t make things easy (on us, or your characters…lol). 😉 Okay…initially, (because Kane and Caleb are my first loves & closest to my heart <3 ) my first instinct would be to go with Kane and Caleb….with Eden, since Kane and Caleb in a room together would either be volatile (they're both such intense alphas) or would be tensely quiet as they assessed each other for the first time (both can be quite silent and guarded – though I think Caleb can be incited to react, more so than Kane)…which is why I'd choose Eden to be there too…. Though I think Jask also would be another alpha male who can stay calm and level-headed under pressure, I would choose Eden to be there with Kane and Caleb, because he could shed some light for them on what is going on with Sirius… 😉 BUT, after a lot of thought…I was thinking it might be better to have Caitlin, Leila, and Jessie for dinner together (though she has read much on serryns, Phia is still a bit unpredictable to me). Caitlin could shadow-read Jessie, and Leila has the book-knowledge (and who knows what other lost books Cain has in his library) that along with Jessie's angelic knowledge could help them find a way through this situation. All 3 women want a better world for all species and have great mental discipline, and with what they know about their men and the prophecies, they'd make an unstoppable trio working together… So, there you have it, Lindsay! My entry…my 3 choices for who I'd have over for a hopefully lovely dinner party and why. Team Blackthorn all the way! 🙂 <3

These are all terrific answers! Had to stop by to say how much I enjoyed narrating these stories. They are one of my favorite series, ever! They have grabbed me, and will not let go, in a very good way. Excited to see who the winner will be, and what you think of the audio. I loved very minute spent in Blackthorn, with Lindsay’s words, and the characters will always be part of me. 🙂

My initial thoughts were definitely Jask and Kane, being so strong and gorgeous. However, they love their ladies so deeply I wouldn’t be given a second look! So, in light of how nasty the baddies are, I would invite Sirius, Xavier and Feinith, lace their food with a very strong sedative and call in the 3 alphas to sort them out. Two vampires and a Lycan I really want to see working together!

So I recently just reread all of the Blackthorn books (its a good thing my boss doesn’t check in on my regularly). Reading them a second time was just as good as the first time! Once again I was totally sucked into the world of Blackthorn, and I just can’t wait to see what obstacles are ahead for all of our fantastic characters. And it is so hard to choose just three characters for my dinner party! All of them have such great personalities! But, since I only get three, here they are:
1. Caitlin Parish ~ Because she is such a strong female character who can make the tough decisions. She would be great at giving good advice.
2. Eden Reece ~ Because he is the ultimate bad boy! Enough said.
3. Sirius Thorme ~ So I can smash a pie into his arrogant face.

This is a difficult one… I would like to meet all the characters really, so now I have to ponder…
First, it would have to be Kane. He was the first touch with Blackthorn, who pulled me in their intriguing world. He really wasn’t that nice, at first, and he got me so wound up and angry with his antics while wooing the live of his life.
Second, it would have to be Jask. Just for the hell of it and to provide fireworks and antagonism. Plus, who can resist a werewolf…
Third, I would choose Eden. The mysterious nature, deeply burning loyalty is intriguing to me and he would complete my trio.
I would love to see their women as well, so they could just sneak to the back door once the boys are in, because I would definitely have enough food for all. Including fresh blood and rare steak. After all that’s how I like my meat too.

Indeed,the whole Blackthorn bunch is unpredictable and interesting! It would be such a fabulous dinner,and certainly never boring. To think of it,I would love to own a cafe/ restaurant in Blackthorn,the in place to be and catering for all !
